South Side Academy accurately measures the progress of all students in order to provide them with the differentiated learning that is required to increase academic achievement. From the results of the Kindergarten Readiness Assessment to Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) to STAR scores, students at South Side Academy is experiencing growth. The accomplishments are a result of the students’ hard work and highlight the impact that the EEG education model and invested staff have upon student excellence.
The average scale scores for early literacy as well as reading and math average STAR scores have increased for South Side students. The recent results below highlighting continually increasing scores speak to effective instruction and curriculum.
Southside Academy experienced an overall 16% increase in average scale scores for early literacy (grades K-2) in ELA from Fall 2016 and Winter 2017.
Southside Academy experienced an overall 11.34% increase in average STAR scores for grades 1-8 in Math from Fall 2015 and Spring 2016.
Southside Academy experienced an overall 17% increase in average STAR scores for grades 1-8 in Reading from Fall 2015 and Spring 2016.
